Overview

The Cappadocia Red (North) Day Tour lasts about seven to eight hours and begins in the town of Göreme. The first stop is Love Valley, where visitors walk along paths surrounded by tall, naturally shaped rock formations formed by wind and erosion. Next, the tour visits the Avanos Pottery Workshop for thirty minutes, where guests watch local artisans create pottery and have the option to try making their own piece. The group then travels to Devrent Valley, also known as the Valley of Imagination, to see unusual rock formations that resemble animals and objects. Following this, the tour continues to Paşabağları (Fairy Chimneys) for about forty-five minutes to explore distinctive rock pillars and caves that were once used by Christian priests. The next stop is the Zelve Open Air Museum, where visitors spend approximately forty-five minutes exploring a former cave city with carved churches, homes, and monastic areas featuring frescoes and rock formations. The final sightseeing stop is Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia, where visitors have about fifteen minutes to climb to the top for panoramic views and photo opportunities. The tour includes an English-speaking guide, air-conditioned transportation, lunch, and museum entrance fees if selected. Drinks at the restaurant and tips are not included. Additionally, there is a stop at a leather store that offers shopping with complimentary drinks and a live fashion show.
