Overview

This private boat tour departs daily from the port of Sorrento and lasts about seven to eight hours. The boat is fast and comfortable, measuring 22 to 28 feet, and can accommodate up to six guests. The tour begins with a 30-minute cruise along the Sorrento coastline, passing the colorful fishing village of Marina Grande and the ancient Roman Villa of Bagni Regina Giovanna, which dates back to the first century B.C. After this, the boat heads to the island of Capri for a one-hour coastal tour by sea. The itinerary includes entering the Red Grotto for five minutes to see coral formations, followed by a five-minute visit to the White Grotto to observe stalactites and stalagmites. The boat passes by a seaside villa once owned by the Italian artist Curzio Malaparte, the Natural Arch, and the Punta Carena lighthouse, one of Italy’s oldest. There is a ten-minute stop at the Faraglioni rocks for photos and a 30-minute stop at Spiaggia di Marina Piccola for swimming. The tour also includes a five-minute visit to the Green Grotto to view its underwater formations. An optional 45-minute visit to the Blue Grotto is available, with entrance tickets to be paid on site. Guests may choose to disembark at Capri for about three hours to have lunch at a local restaurant and explore the town center. Docking at Marina Grande port requires an optional fee, but having lunch at a seaside restaurant can avoid this charge. The timing of stops is flexible and can be arranged with the skipper. On board, life jackets, scuba masks, beach towels, snacks, soft drinks, beer, and fresh water are provided. The skipper speaks English and offers local tips. Insurance is included. Fuel costs, optional Blue Grotto tickets, optional docking fees in Capri, and tips are not included. The tour ends with a return to Sorrento.
