Overview

This cultural tour lasts about two to two and a half hours and takes place at one of the largest olive oil factories in the world, located in Andalucia, Spain. Visitors will tour the factory's facilities, including the winery, manufacturing area, receiving yard, packaging machine, and the museum/oil mill that dates back to the early 20th century. The guide explains the history and significance of olive oil production and teaches how to read labels to select high-quality olive oils. The tour includes tasting at least three varieties of extra virgin olive oil. Guests will also learn about traditional olive harvesting and grinding methods alongside modern production techniques. An optional visit to a monumental olive tree is available during the tour. The experience takes place amid olive groves with views of the Sierra de Cazorla and nearby white villages. A one-hour visit to the Natural Park Sierras de Cazorla is part of the itinerary, where the cooperative’s reception patios, Designation of Origin building, gardens containing over 60 native plant varieties, and a Photocall commemorating the Cazorla International Blues Festival can be seen.
