This tour centers on the Central Florida Everglades, a large protected area of swamps, marshes, and rivers about 45 minutes from Orlando. Guests travel by air-conditioned vehicle from select Orlando pickup locations to one of two airboat parks, depending on the day of the week. The full tour lasts about five hours. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the tour visits Wild Florida Airboat Rides, where visitors take an airboat ride through the Everglades and then have time to explore the Wild Florida Wildlife Park. The park features native Florida animals and exotic species including zebras, Watusi cattle, zedonks, deer, bobcats, sloths, and crocodiles. Groups receive gator feed to feed the alligators. On Thursdays and Sundays, the tour goes to Boggy Creek Airboat Rides. Guests take an airboat ride here and also have access to a butterfly pavilion and a gem mining attraction. The airboat rides on both routes last either 30 minutes or one hour, depending on the option selected. The experience includes viewing alligators, birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitats, and seeing a Native American Village with demonstrations of traditional skills such as cooking and tool making. Only one airboat ride company is visited on each tour day. The airboat rides provide opportunities to see wildlife such as alligators sunbathing and to take photos using props.
