The museum has more than 50,000 cultural relics, covering bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy and painting, revolutionary cultural relics and other categories. Among them, Shang and Zhou bronzes, Changsha kiln porcelain, and cultural relics unearthed from the Mawangdui Han Tomb are all treasures of the museum. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the special exhibitions of Changsha Museum have always been a "traffic code" - it has introduced national top special exhibitions such as Sanxingdui cultural relics exhibition and Dunhuang art exhibition, and also planned local characteristic exhibitions such as "Changsha Kiln International Exchange Exhibition". Each special exhibition can set off a cultural and expo check-in craze.

Highlights

Diverse and extensive collection: From bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties to modern revolutionary cultural relics, from treasures of the Mawangdui Han Tomb to Changsha Kiln porcelain, the collection spanning thousands of years strings together the cultural context of Hunan, allowing you to explore the essence of regional culture in one visit.
Vivid displays and strong experience: Permanent exhibitions use scene restoration and multimedia interaction to recreate history, such as the old photos + immersive installations in the "Old Shadows of Changsha" exhibition area, making cultural relics no longer "aloof", and making a visit like reading a vivid history book.
High-quality themed special exhibitions: Often introducing heavyweight external exhibitions such as Sanxingdui and Dunhuang, combined with local culture to plan special exhibitions, you can not only see the top national cultural relics, but also deeply explore the connection between Hunan and other civilizations.
