Overview

Passengers board a boat at Michigan Avenue to begin a 90-minute tour of Chicago's architecture along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. The first half of the ride focuses on the river, where a local guide points out significant buildings and shares details about Chicago's architectural history. After passing under the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the boat enters Lake Michigan, offering extended views of the city's 26-mile skyline. Along the way, guests see landmarks including the Centennial Fountain and Water Arc, which operates for five minutes at the start of each hour, the Merchandise Mart, Marina City’s distinctive corn-cob towers, the Wrigley Building, the Chicago Riverwalk pedestrian area, and the Lyric Opera House with its Art Deco design. The tour includes both indoor and outdoor seating options that are climate-controlled, and on-board restrooms are available. Drinks and snacks can be bought on the boat, but these are not included in the tour price. Guests are advised to arrive 30 minutes before departure, and the operator can provide information about wheelchair and ADA access. All bags will be searched, and weapons and outside alcohol are prohibited.
