The tour begins with a boat cruise of about three hours covering 16 kilometers to the oyster growing area near Coffin Bay. After the wading experience, participants return to the boat where freshly shucked oysters are served along with snacks. Local alcoholic drinks are available for purchase but are not included. During this time, an experienced oyster farmer explains the history of oyster farming in the area and provides an update on the Angasi Reef Restoration Project, which uses shells from consumed oysters to help rebuild native oyster reefs. The boat then travels to Brother’s Island, where guests can observe a small group of seals in their natural environment. The tour finishes with a return cruise past Coffin Bay National Park, allowing views of the coastline before returning to the Coffin Bay boat ramp.
