Overview

Take a break from the whirlwind sightseeing of Tokyo & unwind with a unique cooking experience. In this course, you’ll learn how to make traditional Japanese home-cooked meals like a real local. Whether you have some cooking experience or a total beginner, your instructor will make sure you can learn at your own unique pace. Choose three dishes & learn step-by-step how to recreate them for yourself. Your options include Tonkatsu, Salmon with Hijiki Seaweed, Oyakodon, Scrambled Tofu, Okonomiyaki, Gyoza Dumplings or Japanese-style Hamburg Steak (ground beef & pork). Once you’ve finished cooking, enjoy your meal with delicious barley tea & a side of rice. Take home some Japanese cooking techniques to use in your own kitchen. Please note menus may vary depending on the season and group size.

For groups of 3 or more, classes will be held in the cooking studio, so booking 2-3 months in advance is highly recommended to ensure availability especially during peak periods such as the New Year holidays, Spring and Autumn season. The host will contact you before the experience to ensure a smooth participation. Please make sure to provide a valid email address and messaging app. Please indicate your menu preferences when making a booking, as you will be required to complete it. Everyone in your group must choose the same 3 dishes. Please note that the host will choose a menu on your behalf if she doesn’t hear back from you with your menu preference 4 days before the experience begins. This activity is able to accommodate the following dietary requirements as well: Pescetarian. Please inform us in advance of your dietary restrictions. Vegetables / Pork option available for Gyoza. Hamburg Steak is made of ground pork and beef. Rice will be served to those who don't choose to make Oyakodon. On national holidays, classes are available only for groups of 4 or more. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bookings for groups of 3 or less on these dates.
