This full-day rail tour lasts about 13 hours and departs from Dublin Heuston Station. The journey begins with a train ride heading southwest through Ireland’s countryside, passing towns and landmarks such as Inchicore, Newbridge - known for Newbridge Silverware - and the Curragh of Kildare, noted for its racecourse and stud farms. The route continues through County Laois with a stop at Portlaoise, then into County Tipperary passing Templemore and Loughmoe Castle before stopping at Thurles. After Limerick Junction, where some travelers leave for the Cliffs of Moher tour, the train continues to Mallow and then Cork Kent Station, arriving around 9:35 am. At Cork, travelers transfer to a coach for a trip through Cork City to Blarney Village. Here, visitors have time to explore Blarney Castle and its gardens, built in 1446 by Dermot McCarthy, and to kiss the Blarney Stone. There is also an opportunity for shopping and lunch at Blarney, which is the only planned stop for a substantial meal during the day. Afterward, the coach travels to Cóbh via Cork city center, allowing passengers to see some city sights. In Cóbh, the tour visits St. Colman’s Cathedral followed by a walk along the sea front past the former White Star Line offices to the Victorian railway station and transatlantic terminal, now the Cóbh Heritage Centre. This centre includes exhibits about the Queenstown Titanic Story, the Great Famine, and Irish emigration, including the story of Annie Moore, whose statue stands outside. The return to Dublin is by train, arriving back at Dublin Heuston Station at approximately 8 pm.
