Located at the ground floor of China Hong Kong City on Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, the Coronet Diamond Museum is Asia’s first museum themed around diamond art. It was founded and curated by Dr. Shum Wan-lung, who envisioned a cultural landmark that seamlessly integrates art, culture, and tourism. Spanning over 5,300 square feet, the museum showcases a stunning collection of ten Guinness World Record-certified diamond masterpieces, including: - The world’s most expensive guitar, valued at USD 2 million - A diamond toilet set with 40,815 natural diamonds, holding the record for the most diamonds on a toilet - A handbag adorned with 9,888 natural black and white diamonds, setting the record for the most diamonds on a handbag - A guitar featuring 16,033 natural gemstones, the most gemstones ever on a guitar - The world’s most valuable golf club, valued at USD 318,858 Alongside other exquisite creations that combine jewelry craftsmanship with modern design, inspired by music, fashion, and cultural storytelling With its grand opening in Tsim Sha Tsui, the Coronet Diamond Art Museum marks a new cultural and creative landmark in Hong Kong. The museum aims to promote the integration of local arts, culture, and tourism, while also showcasing world-class collections that celebrate creativity, innovation, and heritage. In support of the Hong Kong SAR Government’s “Blueprint for Arts and Creative Industries Development”, the museum is committed to cultural tourism development by offering a unique and immersive experience to both local residents and international visitors. As a new hub for art, education, and tourism, the museum aspires to foster public appreciation for diamond artistry and creative design, highlighting Hong Kong’s excellence in the global jewelry and art scene. Furthermore, to encourage cross-regional cultural exchange and academic collaboration, the museum will continue to invite universities and academic institutions from Hong Kong and abroad for guided tours, educational programs, and cultural exchange activities. These efforts aim to broaden the international horizons of students and young people, inspiring creative thinking and future development.
