Overview

A World Cultural Heritage site, it is the only garden in Suzhou where marriage certificates can be obtained. It is named for having a garden on both the east and west sides of the residence, symbolizing a couple's return to rural seclusion. It is characterized by its yellow stone rockeries and culture of love.
