This private full-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City covers the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta. The trip begins with a hotel pickup and a 1.5-hour drive by minivan to the Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels served as a military base during the Vietnam War and are located in an area once heavily bombed. Visitors can explore the tunnel network and learn about its war history. There is also an opportunity to try firing an AK-47 at the site. After visiting Cu Chi, the tour continues with a two-hour drive to My Tho city. On the way, there is a stop for lunch at a restaurant. Upon arrival in My Tho, a boat takes guests along a small canal lined with coconut trees to an island in Ben Tre. On the island, there is a village walk that includes a stop at a local family's home where tropical fruit, honey tea, and honey wine are offered. Guests can listen to traditional Vietnamese music performed by villagers. The walk continues to a coconut candy workshop, where the candy-making process is shown and local handicrafts made from coconut are displayed. The village walk passes by various fruit trees, flowers, houses, and local children, allowing visitors time for photos and to observe the rural environment. The entire tour is conducted in a private vehicle with massage chairs for transport comfort and lasts about 11 and a half hours.
