Visitors watch a 3D film about the largest American ground operation of the Vietnam War and learn how the tunnels served as underground living quarters, command centers, kitchens, field hospitals, weapons factories, and storage areas. Participants can try crawling through a small tunnel entrance and see how locals moved unseen during the war. There is also time to explore the surrounding forest and view a documentary about the tunnels’ strategic design. Visitors may optionally pay to fire an M16 rifle at a shooting range.
