The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

Meet the local guide at 8am in the hotel lobby and avoid crowded buses with a private driver to the Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors. Expect about 7,000 life-size terracotta soldiers arranged in real battle formation, buried underground for over 2200 years. The recommended visit time is 2.5 hours with mostly flat walking. The museum includes three original pits: Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe, and Pit 3 as the Command Center. There is also an exhibition hall with various temporary exhibitions. This site serves as a place to study the history of the Qin Dynasty, the first dynasty of China.

Huaqing Palace has been the imperial Winter Palace for over 3000 years because of its natural hot springs. There are still five bathing pools from the Tang Dynasty preserved here. Visitors can see the architecture of the Tang Dynasty, bonsai, plants, ponds, and landscape compositions. The site also displays bullet holes from the Double-Twelve Incident in 1936 in China's modern history.
