Secret Getsemani Rooftop Dance Class
Participants spend 3 hours on a private rooftop in Cartagena's Getsemani neighborhood learning popular Latin rhythms: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cartagena's native Champeta. During the class, they can drink wine, beer, and local rum. The basic steps, turns, and twists of each genre are taught patiently to ensure understanding. Each set of steps is combined into a choreography for each rhythm. Additionally, common Cartagena slang is introduced while enjoying rum. After the class, a video tutorial with all the learned steps is sent for further practice.
