Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about 13 hours and starts with a drive from Darwin along the Arnhem Highway through the Marrakai Plains toward Kakadu National Park. The first stop is at the Warradjan Cultural Centre, where visitors spend around 20 minutes learning about the Bininj people, the traditional owners of the land, through cultural displays. Next, the tour includes a 90-minute boat cruise on the Yellow Waters Billabong. This area is home to thousands of saltwater crocodiles and about 60 different bird species such as sea eagles, brolgas, and kingfishers. After the cruise, there is a 45-minute lunch break in Cooinda, which is included in the price. The final stop is Nourlangie Rock, where guests take a guided 45-minute walk around the base to view a variety of Aboriginal rock art. Throughout the day, the driver/guide provides commentary and transport in an air-conditioned vehicle. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Government fees for Kakadu National Park entry are not included and must be purchased separately.
