Overview

This cultural night tour on Denarau Island lasts about four hours and includes a guided walking tour of a Fijian culture village. Guests are picked up from selected hotels between 4:00 and 5:15 p.m. The village guide leads a visit to several traditional bure huts, including the Temple and Chief’s House, where visitors see demonstrations of crafts such as fire lighting, pottery making, and weaving. At around 6:45 p.m., the traditional lovo food, which has been cooked in an earth oven, is uncovered and prepared for serving. The kava welcoming ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m., allowing guests to taste the national drink. Dinner follows at 7:20 p.m. with the buffet including the lovo food; soft drinks, beer, and wine are available for purchase. The evening concludes with a Meke show featuring traditional singing and dancing, plus a fire dance. Guests are encouraged to join the dancers if invited. Transport for the return trip to the hotels departs at approximately 8:30 p.m. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for Denarau and Nadi hotels, with surcharges for some other locations.

Guests are picked up from selected hotels at 4:00 p.m. and arrive at the village by 5:15 p.m. where a warrior welcomes them and the guide provides a tour briefing. The guided walk begins at 5:30 p.m. visiting several special bure huts including the Temple and Chief House. Demonstrations include fire lighting, pottery making, and weaving. At 6:45 p.m., the traditional lovo food cooked in an earth oven is uncovered. The kava tasting ceremony starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:20 p.m. Guests can order drinks separately. The evening ends with the Meke show and fire dance at 7:50 p.m., where visitors can join if invited. Return transport is ready by 8:30 p.m.
