Overview

Discover one of Uruguay's most internationally renowned wineries: Bodega Bouza, with a return transfer from Montevideo. Get to know this classic artisan winery, which offers a unique experience in an enchanting setting. During the visit we'll explore the facilities, the vineyards and the fascinating process of making wine. Highlights include the Tannat grape, Uruguay's emblematic variety, recognised by many as superior in quality to its country of origin, France. Built in 1942 by the visionary Numa Pesquera, the winery was inspired by traditional French châteaux and introduced the pioneering concept of 'fine wines' to Uruguay. In 2002, Bodega Bouza was restored to its original structure, preserving the historical essence of the place. In addition to the guided tour and wine tasting or lunch of your choice (only if the option is selected), you'll have the opportunity to admire the family's extraordinary collection of vintage cars, which are displayed in a large museum. The collection includes more than 30 cars and motorcycles dating back to the 1920s, and depicting life in Uruguay from the 1930s onwards. An unmissable tour that combines tradition, quality wines and an immersion in the country's automotive history. Options - Tour only: Hotel pick-up and drop-off + visit to the Bodega with a tasting of 4 wines accompanied by appetizers. - Tour with Lunch: Hotel pick-up and drop-off visit to the bodega (no tasting) + 4-course lunch accompanied by wines.
