Peles Castle

Peles Castle is a Neo-Renaissance castle built between 1873 and 1914 near Sinaia in Prahova County. It lies on a historic route linking Transylvania and Wallachia and was constructed for King Carol I. The castle opened in 1883. Visitors have two hours to see the site, but on Mondays, Tuesdays, and from November 3 to December 2, 2025, only the exterior is accessible.

1) Visitors wishing to see Peles Castle must purchase tickets in advance only for the time slot 10:00-11:00 if their trip is on Wednesday, and for 9:15-11:00 for the rest of the week, as there is a maximum capacity of 500 tickets per time slot. 2) For trips on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, ticket availability for the time slot must be checked in advance. 3) If tickets are sold out after booking, tickets for Pelisor Castle can be purchased instead, with the time slot 10:00-12:00 on Wednesday and 9:15-12:00 on other days. 5) Tickets must not be bought for any other time slots than those mentioned. Tickets become available on the castle's official website starting from the 15th of the previous month for the following month.
