The Dubai half-day desert safari lasts approximately four hours and begins with a pickup from the selected hotel or location in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle. The group travels to the Lahbab desert, where participants enter an air-conditioned tent for a 20 to 25-minute break. During this time, refreshments including Arabic tea or coffee with dates, water, and soft drinks are served. Guests may use the restroom or choose to ride a quad bike if this option has been selected. After the break, the vehicle’s tire pressures are adjusted for off-road driving. A dune bashing session follows, lasting about 30 to 45 minutes, during which the vehicle drives over sand dunes. After dune bashing, there is time to take photos before participants join a sandboarding activity. A guide provides instructions on climbing and descending the dunes using the sandboard. Next, guests take a short camel ride across the desert, which can be repeated if desired. The safari also includes a falcon experience presented by an English-speaking licensed guide.
