Overview

This boat tour from Dubrovnik lasts about 9 and a half hours and covers the Elaphiti Islands of Lopud, Šipan, and Koločep. The trip begins with a scenic boat ride along the coast, passing close to shorelines and the Trsteno Arboretum, a filming location for Game of Thrones. On Lopud Island, the second largest of the group, guests have around three hours to explore historic churches, ruins, the oldest botanical garden in Europe, and relax on Šunj Beach, known for its sandy shore and local legend. Next, the tour stops at Šipan Island, the largest island with the most olive trees in the world on one island. Visitors see historic villas and experience local fishing village life at Suđurađ. There is time for swimming and jumping into the Adriatic Sea from the boat. The final island visited is Koločep, smaller and less inhabited but noted for swimming, diving, cliffs for jumping, and two Mediterranean villages connected by walking paths through pine and olive trees. There is also space on the boat’s party deck for dancing. The tour includes a multilingual guide speaking English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese, lunch served on board, bottled water, carbonated drinks, music, WiFi, safety briefing, and life jackets. Hotel pickup is available if selected. Towels and snorkeling gear are not included.

Lopud Island

Lopud is the second largest Elaphiti Island, known for over 30 small churches and the 'Temple of Sun' museum. The island features historical stone buildings, ruins, and Mediterranean vegetation supported by its 2,584 annual hours of sunshine. It hosts the oldest botanical garden in Europe and Šunj Beach, a rare sandy beach with a local legend saying couples who bathe there will stay together. Lopud offers various restaurants and bars for relaxation during the roughly three-hour stop.
