Overview

This half-day bus tour begins at the cruise ship dock in Ísafjörður. After boarding, the group leaves town and passes through the Vestfjarðagöng mountain tunnel. The route continues through small villages and fjords with steep mountains before arriving at Dynjandi waterfall. Dynjandi is one of Iceland's tallest waterfalls, made up of several falls that widen to 60 meters at the base. The drive from Ísafjörður to Dynjandi takes about 40 minutes, offering views of unspoiled landscapes along the way. Visitors spend nearly two hours exploring the waterfall area. On the return trip, the tour stops at Gemlufell Farm on the coast of Dýrafjörður fjord. This working farm provides a quiet rural setting where guests can relax and enjoy tea, coffee, and a traditional Icelandic cake called Hjónabandssæla, made from oats and rhubarb jam. The entire tour lasts about three and a half hours and includes onboard WiFi and air conditioning. Lunch is not provided.
