Overview

This tour covers 25 kilometers around Lake Como and nearby Swiss vineyards using electric bicycles that assist with the few climbs along the route. The total duration is about three hours, starting and ending in Como city. The ride begins by heading north along the lake for approximately ten minutes, crossing Villa Olmo park. After crossing the river Breggia, the route enters Cernobbio village, passing Villa Bernasconi. There is a five-minute stop at La Riva square in Cernobbio to take a lake view photo and hear historical information. The ride continues through Cernobbio’s citadel and follows the lakeshore to Moltrasio, a village known for its stone buildings, where there is another five-minute stop with lake views. Next, the route crosses the border into Switzerland and arrives at a Merlot vineyard in Vacallo. The guide provides information about local wine production during a ten-minute stop. The return to Como follows the cycling lane along the lake, passing the botanical garden Il Giardino della Valle about halfway through the ride. A final five-minute stop near Baradello castle includes stories about the castle and suggestions for activities in Como city. The total elevation gain is 300 meters. The itinerary may be adjusted based on the group’s cycling skill and conditions. The tour includes a professional guide and one interactive PDF guidebook titled "Beyond The Ride." Bike rental is included only if the corresponding option is selected.
