East Zion 150-Minute Canyoneering and UTV Adventure
by ROAM East Zion
Overview
This 2.5-hour tour takes place in East Zion near Zion National Park. Participants travel in off-road Can Am Defender UTVs driven by guides to Coal Hollow Slot Canyon. Upon arrival, the group completes a steep half-mile hike to the canyon entrance. The main activity is canyoneering through the slot canyon using four rappels. Most of the rappelling occurs near Ladder Canyon at the base of Sugar Knoll, a notable nearby landmark. Bottled water is provided during the tour. The tour operates on Mountain Time, which is one hour different from Las Vegas and Arizona time zones. Punctuality is important because multiple tours run daily; arriving more than 15 minutes late means missing the tour.
