Overview

The Elaphiti Islands Day Cruise departs at 8:45 am from port Gruž in Dubrovnik aboard the Karaka, a luxury pirate ship designed as a replica of a 16th-century Dubrovnik Republic merchant vessel. Before leaving the port, guests may purchase a warm toast or sandwich on board and receive two complimentary drinks. The cruise lasts between six and nine hours, visiting three islands in the Elaphiti archipelago. The first stop is Koločep Island, where passengers have about one hour and fifteen minutes to explore pine forests, take an optional hiking tour, or visit a local family-run honey farm with tastings available for a small fee. Next, the ship sails to the town of Suđurađ on Šipan Island for another hour and fifteen minutes. Visitors can see the 16th-century Skočibuha villa, relax in the natural surroundings, or participate in an optional wine tasting. The final stop is Lopud Island, where the time spent ranges from one to three hours depending on the season. Here, guests can swim and snorkel in the clear Adriatic waters. Optional lunch is available for purchase at partner restaurants on Lopud. The departure time from Lopud varies throughout the year and may change due to weather conditions. The cruise returns to port Gruž at the end of the day. Onboard the Karaka, air conditioning, WiFi, and toilets are available. Each guest receives a bottle of water upon arrival and a drink token valid for water, juice, beer, or wine. Full-face snorkeling masks are provided with a refundable deposit. Pickup and drop-off in Dubrovnik and nearby suburbs can be arranged if selected. Additional drinks, sandwiches, beach towels, and souvenirs are not included but can be purchased during the tour.
