Overview

Medellín’s recent transformation is reflected in its mix of neighborhoods, parks, and vibrant public spaces. This about 4-hour electric bike tour covers over 20 kilometers along paths connecting diverse parts of the city, led by a local guide. Riders will visit traditional and modern landmarks while stopping for local food and Colombian coffee. The tour starts at Pueblito Paisa on Cerro Nutibara, the highest point in the city, where the guide explains local traditions and offers a choice of local beer or juice. From there, the route passes through Conquistadores, a luxury neighborhood, and several hidden parks inaccessible to most visitors. The group will spend about 10 minutes at Parques del Rio, Medellín’s recently opened modern park, ideal for photos. Next, the Bare Foot Park (Parque de los Pies Descalzos) in the city center offers 15 minutes to experience nature and refresh. A 10-minute stop at Lights Park follows, where the guide discusses Medellín’s urban changes over the past 30 years. At San Antonio neighborhood, participants enjoy 20 minutes tasting typical local dishes and drinks, all included. The tour continues to Plaza Botero, where riders have free time to view Fernando Botero’s sculptures and observe the city’s traditions. The route then passes through a traditional neighborhood with secret parks and stops for 5 minutes at Estadio Atanasio Girardot, the local soccer stadium and sports complex. Finally, riders cycle through the upscale Laureles area and visit Laureles Park to feel the area’s local atmosphere. Snacks, coffee, tea, bottled water, and bicycle use are included throughout the tour.
