Overview

Embark on an unforgettable adventure by visiting the charming coastal town of Essaouira, a must-see destination located approximately 180km from Marrakech. This full day excursion allows you to discover the beauty and history of this port city while enjoying a delicious lunch. You will be picked up free of charge from your accommodation in Marrakech and set off with your natural guide towards Essaouira. On the way, you will visit a local cooperative where women extract argan oil in the traditional Moroccan way. On arrival in Essaouira, you'll be greeted by a refreshing sea breeze and the relaxed atmosphere of this historic town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander the narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses and blue doors, discover the workshops of local artisans and explore the shops selling handicrafts, spices and souvenirs. Now it is time to stretch your legs and enjoy authentic food and tea, tasting the flavours of traditional dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and love. After lunch, you'll have some free time to explore Essaouira at your own pace. You can visit the harbour to see fishermen unloading their catch, take a stroll along the beach or visit the fish market. Don't miss the Skala de la Kasbah, a fortified platform with spectacular views of the sea and The Medina. In the late afternoon, you'll meet your guide and driver for the return journey to Marrakech. Enjoy the Moroccan landscapes one last time before arriving at your hotel in the early evening.
