The Farowest 4x4 Jeep Safari is a full-day tour lasting seven to eight hours, departing from Funchal with small groups in an open-top UMM army jeep. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off within designated areas of Funchal and Caniço. Pickup and drop-off near the port close to the meeting point can be arranged on request. The trip begins at Praia Ponta do Sol, then climbs to the island’s plateau crossing Pico Ruivo do Paul da Serra. The route follows old paved and unpaved roads and off-road tracks, guided by a local professional who provides live commentary throughout the journey. The jeep stops at Porto Moniz for about two hours, allowing time for lunch and an optional swim in the natural sea pools. After Porto Moniz, the group takes a 30-minute walk along a section of the Levada do Paul da Serra. The tour continues to Poca Das Lesmas, a small fishing village on the northern coast, before returning to the starting point. Food and drinks are not included unless specified. Children must be over five years old and accompanied by an adult. Cruise ship passengers must provide ship details at booking. The guide may speak multiple languages.
