Overview

This six-hour excursion departs from Florence by air-conditioned coach to Pisa. Upon arrival, the group begins with about 20 minutes outside at the UNESCO-listed Piazza dei Miracoli, where the guide introduces the Cathedral, Baptistery, Camposanto, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This introduction includes photo opportunities and an overview of the main monuments. Next, there is up to one hour inside the Cathedral to view its marble interiors and artworks. If entry to the Cathedral is not possible due to queues, the guide leads a visit to Piazza dei Cavalieri instead, where the historical palaces are explained during a brief five-minute walk. After the Cathedral or Piazza dei Cavalieri visit, the group spends 10 minutes viewing the Baptistery, learning about its acoustics and design. Then the guide provides 15 minutes focused on the Leaning Tower, covering its tilt and structural details. Participants who have selected the optional Leaning Tower ticket may climb the tower’s spiral staircase for panoramic views over Pisa. The itinerary continues with 15 minutes at the Camposanto cemetery cloisters, where Gothic arches, sarcophagi, and fresco remains are observed. The visit ends with a final panoramic walk around Piazza dei Miracoli to connect the four main sites before returning to Florence by coach. Included are round-trip transportation, a licensed guide, and assistance from local staff at the meeting point. The optional Leaning Tower ticket must be selected separately. There is no hotel pickup, and food or drinks are not provided. Visitors must follow a strict dress code covering knees and shoulders to enter religious sites. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Punctual arrival at the meeting point and presentation of valid ID are required. Accessibility is limited for those with motor disabilities or wheelchair users, who should notify the organizer in advance.
