Overview

Banderas Bay in Mexico offers a variety of natural features including waterfalls, beaches, caves, and marine life. This full-day tour lasts about eight hours and is conducted by a local company using the Jack Sparrow PV boat. The itinerary is flexible and tailored to each group’s preferences, with safety as a priority. The tour includes several stops around South Banderas Bay. At Yelapa Waterfalls, guests spend two hours visiting the town, beach, and a waterfall where they can swim in a natural pool and optionally join a diving demonstration. Then the tour continues to Majahuitas Beach for one hour of snorkeling. Here, participants swim toward a mountain cave and a natural aquarium to see marine species like starfish, pufferfish, stingrays, and colorful fish. Next is Playa Quimixto, where visitors hike for two hours through jungle trails with birdwatching opportunities. The hike ends at a waterfall where swimming, jumping, and climbing are possible. Horse rides to the waterfall are available for an extra fee. The tour then stops at Adventure Park Las Animas Beach for an hour, a beach with a safe swimming area suitable for children, a water park, trampoline, inflatable mountain, diving spots, and seafood dining options. Playa Colomitos, the smallest beach in the bay, is visited for 40 minutes to enjoy its sand and water. Finally, guests spend an hour at Los Arcos de Mismaloya, a site of five islands, three caves, bird sanctuaries, and an aquarium. Snorkeling and diving are options here to explore underwater caves and the bay’s deepest points. Alcoholic beverages are included on the tour, while lunch is not provided. Whale watching may be available seasonally depending on timing.
