The highlight of this eight-hour hiking adventure in the Blue Mountains is the 30-metre waterfall abseil at Empress Canyon, which offers a striking descent to a deep rock pool and a chance for memorable photos. The morning begins with abseiling practice on cliffs starting at 5 metres and progressing to 30 metres. After a gourmet lunch, the group walks about 20 minutes to the canyon entrance. Participants then enter the creek and proceed through a slot canyon featuring water jumps, swims, and natural waterslides, all supported by provided wetsuits and safety gear. The day includes all technical equipment such as helmets, harnesses, ropes, and wetsuits, plus a waterproof digital camera to capture the experience. Transport is provided by private vehicle, but hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. No prior experience is required, as guidance and instruction are given throughout the day.
