This full-day bus tour covers the natural formations of Pamukkale and the ancient ruins of Hierapolis, located in southwestern Turkey near Selçuk and Kusadasi. The trip starts with hotel pickup in either Kusadasi or Selcuk, followed by a three-hour drive through rural landscapes to reach Pamukkale. At Pamukkale, participants visit the white travertine terraces formed by mineral-rich hot springs over thousands of years. The tour includes a 90-minute visit to Hierapolis, an ancient city built on solid limestone deposits created by thermal waters. Highlights here include the Roman theatre, the Temple of Apollo, the Gate of Domitian, the main street, the Byzantium Gate, the Necropolis - one of the largest burial sites in ancient Anatolia - and the Ploutonion. After exploring the ruins, the tour continues with 90 minutes to walk on the warm, natural terraces of Pamukkale, where the water temperature remains around 35 degrees Celsius year-round.
