Overview

This small-group tour starts with a hotel or apartment pickup in Barcelona between 8 and 9 am. The journey heads through the Catalonian countryside to Girona, a city with origins predating the Roman Empire. The tour includes a walking route through Girona’s Old Town, featuring visits to the Girona Cathedral, known for having the widest Gothic nave in the world, and the well-preserved Jewish Quarter called El Call. Participants also walk along the city walls dating back to Roman times and see the Arab Baths, a 12th-century Romanesque structure. Following Girona, the tour proceeds to Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, located near the French border and close to the Mediterranean Sea. The visit includes skip-the-line access to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, built on the ruins of the town’s old municipal theatre and recognized as the largest surrealist artwork worldwide. Visitors explore the museum’s extensive collection of Dalí’s works and also see Dalí.Joyas, a permanent exhibition of Dalí’s designed jewels. The guided walking sections last about two hours in Girona and three hours in Figueres. The entire tour lasts about 10 hours and is conducted by a professional local guide. It includes air-conditioned transport, hotel pickup and drop-off in Barcelona, and a maximum of eight participants. Entrance fees, food, drinks, and gratuities are not included, except if the private tour option is selected, which covers entrance tickets. Children must be accompanied by adults, and appropriate child seats are arranged upon request.
