Overview

The trip starts with a coach ride from Geneva, driving along Lake Geneva’s shore. The journey continues through the Swiss countryside with views of wooden chalets and natural landscapes until arriving at Col du Pillon in the Les Diablerets area. From there, if the cable car option is selected, travelers board the cable car for the ascent to Glacier 3000, located at 3,000 meters (10,000 feet). At Glacier 3000, visitors can walk the marked glacier trail and cross the Peak Walk by Tissot, a unique suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks. The bridge is 107 meters long and 80 centimeters wide, offering views of the Alps including the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Optional activities include riding the Alpine coaster and taking a ride on the Snow Bus, a caterpillar-driven vehicle that seats up to 20 people for a different way to explore the glacier. The area also features a panoramic restaurant designed by architect Mario Botta. After spending about four hours at Glacier 3000, the coach returns to the Montreux Riviera for free time. Montreux is known for its mild climate and Mediterranean plants like pines, cypresses, and palm trees. Visitors can see the Freddie Mercury statue, visit the Queen recording studio, and experience the atmosphere related to the Montreux Jazz Festival. The round-trip tour lasts about 10 hours and includes an English-speaking driver-guide. Food, drinks, and optional activities like the Alpine coaster, snow bus, and dog sled ride are not included.
