Overview

This bus tour runs about six and a half hours from Reykjavik, visiting key sites of Iceland's Golden Circle. The route includes Thingvellir National Park, where visitors spend around 30 minutes walking areas central to Icelandic history and geology, including the Drowning Pool, Gallows Rock, and the largest natural lake, Thingvallavatn. The tour continues to the Geysir Geothermal Area for about an hour, where steam vents, mud pits, and hot springs are visible. Nearby, the Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes, shooting hot water high into the air, and is observed for another hour. Finally, the group visits Gullfoss Falls for approximately 40 minutes to see the Hvita River drop 32 meters in two stages, with trails allowing views from multiple angles including the base of the waterfall. The tour includes a professional guide, on-board WiFi, air conditioning, and pickup and drop-off from selected locations if requested. In summer, pickup is available from Skarfabakki Cruise Port. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Participants should be prepared for some walking on uneven surfaces and dress for all weather conditions. Stops for restroom use and food purchases are included along the route.
