This 90-minute boat tour departs from Golfo Aranci and follows the waters between Capo Figari and Golfo Aranci, where a group of bottlenose dolphins has lived for over ten years. The boat navigates close to the island of Figarolo, near a fish farm where sea bass and sea bream are bred in large cages. These fish attract dolphins searching for food, making dolphin watching very likely during the trip. Onboard guides provide explanations about the dolphins’ characteristics and behavior throughout the tour. Mineral water and iced tea are included as refreshments. The tour is suitable for all ages but is not recommended for people weighing over 286 pounds (130 kilograms) or those with motor disabilities. Pets are not allowed.
Figarolo Island Area
The tour begins at Baia Aranzos hotel beach and after sailing for 5 minutes reaches Figarolo Island, which lies between Golfo Aranci and the Capo Figari promontory. A group of bottlenose dolphins has lived in the waters near Capo Figari and Golfo Aranci for more than 10 years. Close to Figarolo Island, a fish farm cultivates large amounts of sea bass and sea bream inside large sea cages. These fish attract dolphins that come to feed. Passing near both the island and the fish farm significantly raises the chances of dolphin sightings. Onboard guides explain the dolphins’ characteristics and behaviors.
