Overview

This guided walking tour lasts about 70 to 90 minutes and visits the only coffee plantation in Europe, located near La Herradura in Malaga. Participants walk through the farm and see more than 30 types of tropical fruit trees, including red bananas, dragon fruit, chocolate-flavored black sapote, avocados, mangoes, custard apples, lychees, macadamias, and pitayas. The tour takes place on a private open-air path that includes a visit to a farmhouse over 300 years old. Along the way, guides explain sustainable farming methods, biological balance, and water and matter recycling used on the farm. The plantation is the northernmost coffee farm in the world. Wildlife such as chameleons, eagles, partridges, owls, wild goats, and wild boars may be seen if conditions allow. The terrain includes a steep slope, so visitors are advised to wear comfortable, closed shoes, avoid the hottest hours, and stay hydrated. A 15% discount on fruit purchases at the farm is included. Local wine and tapas are not included.
