Overview

This four-hour bus tour starts with hotel pickup anywhere in downtown Halifax before traveling to Peggy's Cove, a fishing village about an hour away. Along the way, the guide points out landmarks and scenic views. At Peggy's Cove, there is about an hour to explore the area around the historic Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. Visitors can walk along the ocean to find tidal pools, watch local fishermen in the village, or browse small shops. After returning to Halifax, the tour stops at Citadel Hill for a one-hour guided visit. The guide leads through historic prison cells and alleyways dating back to 1745, concluding with the daily firing of the noon cannon.
