Overview

This private Halong Bay tour starts with a hotel pickup in Hanoi at 8:30 AM by air-conditioned car or van. The drive follows the Express Way for about two and a half hours, passing rice fields, rivers, fruit gardens, and HaiPhong port before arriving at Tuan Chau Marina. Here, guests board a traditional-style boat for a cruise through the World Natural Heritage Area of Halong Bay. The boat tour lasts around four hours and includes stops at notable limestone formations such as Hon Ga Choi Island, where guests can take photos of its twin karst pillars, and Hon Dinh Huong Island, known as the Incense Burner, a symbol of fortune featured on the Vietnamese 200,000 dong banknote. A seafood lunch is served onboard during the cruise. After lunch, the tour continues with a visit to Ba Hang Village, where passengers can choose between kayaking in the lagoon or riding a bamboo boat rowed by a local fisherman to explore caves and a secluded lake surrounded by limestone mountains. The next stop is Dong Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Cave), where guests climb steps to enter a cave discovered in 1993, featuring large chambers decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. At the end of the cruise, participants return to Tuan Chau Marina to board the vehicle for the return trip to Hanoi, arriving back at the hotel around 6:00 to 6:30 PM. The tour includes bottled water on the car, admission fees to Halong Bay and the cave, lunch, an English-speaking guide, and the choice of private or shared cruise. Drinks on the boat and gratuities are not included.
