Overview

The Hanoi Maya Kitchen Cooking Class and Local Market Tour lasts four hours. It begins with a walk through a local market in Hanoi's Old Quarter, where participants select fresh ingredients needed for the cooking session. After the market visit, the group moves to the Maya Kitchen to prepare four traditional Vietnamese dishes: fried spring rolls, papaya salad, pho rolls, and mixed pho. The class also includes making egg coffee, a well-known local specialty. An English-speaking instructor guides participants through each step of the cooking process. After cooking, participants sit down to eat the meal they have prepared. Seasonal fruits are served for dessert. The session also includes a tasting of local wine and a choice of one drink such as water, tea, or coffee. Recipes for the dishes are provided. The meeting point is at the Crossing Vietnam Tour office on 47 Hang Bong Street. Transport to and from the meeting point is not included.
