Overview

This six-hour day trip from Mendoza travels along Route 7 through the Andes mountain range by private vehicle with air conditioning. The journey begins following the road alongside Potrerillos del Río Mendoza, then passes through a tunnel and into the Uspallata Valley, which divides the pre and front ridges of the mountains. The route continues upward on the high mountain road, reaching Los Penitentes. The tour proceeds along the international route bordered by the Andean massif and the old railway line until arriving at Puente del Inca, a natural stone bridge with hot springs and historical significance. After Puente del Inca, the mountains open to reveal Aconcagua, where there is a stop at the lookout point for views of the mountain. The trip continues to the city of Las Cuevas, and if weather conditions allow, there is an optional visit to Christ the Redeemer statue.
