The India Venster route is a rugged and technical trail involving rock scrambling and uneven terrain, taking about three and a half hours. It is less crowded and suited for hikers comfortable with a more challenging climb. The Platteklip Gorge route is more direct and less technical, featuring hundreds of large rock steps, and takes approximately two and a half hours. Both routes require steep uphill hiking on rocky ground and end at the mountain’s summit. After reaching the top, the group descends by cable car if it is operating. If the cable car is closed due to weather or maintenance, the descent is on foot via the Platteklip Gorge route. National Park fees are included in the tour price. Private vehicle transport can be arranged for an additional cost. Participants should bring their own water and snacks, as these are not included. The cable car ticket for the descent is also not included. A basic level of fitness and comfort with heights is necessary. The tour operates in most weather conditions, and appropriate clothing and sturdy walking or hiking shoes are recommended.
