Overview
The workshop takes place in a local pottery studio in Goreme, Cappadocia. Participants start by observing local artisans demonstrating traditional pottery-making techniques that have been passed down for generations. After the demonstration, each person spends about 45 minutes shaping clay by hand using these ancient methods, guided by skilled craftsmen. Bottled water is provided during the session. Private transportation to the workshop is not included.

Avanos is located on the Kızılırmak River and has practiced pottery for thousands of years. Visitors can participate in a family-run workshop where they use local white clay on a potter’s wheel. The workshop includes guidance through each step and stories about the craft’s history passed down through generations. This activity offers a chance to engage with Avanos’s culture by creating a personal piece.
