Step into a cozy home kitchen near Ikebukuro and learn to cook two Japanese favorites—sushi rolls (makizushi) and tamagoyaki (rolled omelet)—with friendly Chef Odaira, a former kappo restaurant chef with over 10 years of experience. Guided by an English-speaking interpreter, you’ll prepare sushi rice, roll your own makizushi, and cook fluffy tamagoyaki. Then, enjoy a hands-on matcha-making experience, whisking your own matcha and savoring it with traditional Japanese wagashi. You’ll also receive printed recipes and a small gift to take home. This hands-on class is perfect for learning about washoku, Japan’s home cooking culture, in a welcoming and relaxed setting—just minutes from Tokyo’s anime hub, Ikebukuro.
