by Las Vegas SUP Kayak Club
This full-day kayak tour lasts about 8 hours and starts with a shuttle ride from Las Vegas to the base of Hoover Dam. Participants paddle 12 miles down the Colorado River through Black Canyon, passing natural hot springs, waterfalls, beaches, and the Emerald Cave. The tour includes a professional guide, bottled water, lunch, and safety gear, with options for single or double kayaks. There is time for photos and swimming along the route. This trip involves kayaking and hiking of about 2 miles, so it requires physical fitness. It is not suitable for those with heart, shoulder, or back problems. Water shoes are necessary due to over a mile of hiking. Layered clothing is recommended depending on the season. The National Park permit is required but not included in the booking; the operator arranges this after booking.

The total experience lasts about 9 hours including pick-up and drop-off. Healthy snacks such as sandwiches, bananas, granola bars, and bottled water are provided; guests with food allergies should bring their own.
