Overview

Have you heard of Shuiyang Forest? Behind the romantic name lies the slow decay of trees that have been submerged in water for a long time. Even though they have lost their lives, they still stand in the lake. Compared to the one in Chiayi, Hualien's Shuiyang Forest is a little more accessible. You don't have to trek through muddy soil for hours, crossing mountains. You can visit this unknown secret spot by car. In this fantastical scene, you won't see towering杉 trees, but rather stout camphor trees with their own unique characteristics, twisting and bending freely. Paddle through them on a SUP, admiring the beautiful reflections in the lake.

What to wear In spring and summer, please wear light, non-absorbent clothing. Those sensitive to the sun should wear thin long sleeves, leggings, and a hat.
