Budapest offers a chance to learn Hungarian cooking in a home-style kitchen studio located in the city center. This four-hour hands-on cooking class is led by Chef Marti, a professional cook who shares knowledge about Hungarian cuisine, local ingredients, customs, and food history. Participants work together preparing a full three-course menu plus a starter, choosing from five different menu options. The setting is a lively kitchen where guests chop, knead, and cook while interacting with the chef and other participants. The class includes traditional drinks such as palinka, Hungarian wine, soft drinks, and coffee. The experience is designed for smaller groups to allow personalized attention and guidance throughout the session. Vegetarian options are available if requested in advance.

From the beginning to the end we make together a Hungarian 3-course menu (+ Hungarian bites). We work together as a team and provide all the ingredients, pots and kitchen equipment. Everybody makes the same menu, so the first guest to book can choose one of the following 3 menus. During the cooking you can taste typical local ingredients and discover the flavors, traditions and stories that make Hungarian cuisine unique. We also talk about Hungary, local food, customs and history. At the end of the cooking we eat together and you can enjoy the result of your efforts with a glass of Hungarian wine. You will receive the recipes of the dishes. Menu options - please, choose only ONE: Menu A: Cold sour cherry soup, Chicken paprikas with dumplings, Gundel pancake Menu B: Goulash soup (beef), Savoury pancake Hortobagy style (chicken), Apple Strudel. (made with filo dough) Menu C: Creamy potato soup with smoked sausage, Stuffed cabbage (pork), Poppy-seed bread dumplings + vanilla custard Minimum 4 participants are required for the class to run.
