Overview

Luxor contains some of the best-preserved monuments from ancient Egypt. This full-day tour from Hurghada covers key sites including Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Hatshepsut. The trip starts with hotel pickup in Hurghada by an air-conditioned vehicle. The guide leads the visit to Karnak Temple, a large complex known for its columns and ancient structures. After about an hour, the group moves to a local restaurant in Luxor for lunch featuring Egyptian cuisine. Following lunch, there is an option to take a traditional Egyptian motor boat to cross the Nile River to the west bank. The tour continues with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues remaining from the Temple of Amenhotep III. Next is the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, noted for its distinctive architecture, followed by a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where 63 royal tombs including that of Tutankhamun are located. The tomb walls have hieroglyphic inscriptions telling the stories of the pharaohs.
