Overview

This full-day excursion lasting about 15 to 18 hours begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Hurghada. You will take a flight to Cairo, where a guide will meet you to accompany you throughout the tour. The first visit is to either the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) or the Ancient Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, depending on your selection when booking. The Grand Egyptian Museum houses over 100,000 artifacts and is one of the largest archaeological museums worldwide, while the Ancient Egyptian Museum offers a comprehensive collection of ancient relics. After the museum visit, the tour continues with a trip to the Pyramids of Giza, including the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. The visit concludes at the Great Sphinx, the largest surviving sphinx carved from limestone near the pyramids, featuring a human head on a lion’s body. If time allows, there is an opportunity to shop before heading back. Depending on your return flight schedule, the tour may include a stop at Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar, known for its traditional market atmosphere and modern shopping centers like Cairo Festival City. Optional visits to the Papyrus Museum and Essential Oil Factory are also possible if time remains, offering insight into ancient Egyptian papyrus making and essential oil production. A Nile River boat trip is available for an additional fee to view Cairo from the water. The tour includes air-conditioned transfers, lunch, three bottles of mineral water, flight, and entrance fees if the museum option is selected. After the day’s activities, you will fly back to Hurghada and be transferred to your hotel.
