Overview

Xixi National Wetland Park, located in Hangzhou, is a rare secondary wetland in the city and is known as the "Kidney of Hangzhou". With crisscrossing rivers and dense lakes, about 70% of the area is water area such as rivers, ponds, lakes and swamps, forming a unique wetland ecological landscape. Stepping into the wetland, you can encounter many historical and cultural relics, such as Hongzhong Villa and Qiuxue Temple, which exude a profound cultural heritage; the spring is full of flowers, the summer is full of lotus leaves, the autumn is full of reed catkins, and the winter is full of plum blossoms. The scenery is different in the four seasons. A sculling boat experience is not to be missed. Stepping on the simple sculling boat, the boatman or boatman skillfully sculls, and the small boat leisurely shuttles through the tortuous waterways. Sitting on the boat, you can reach out and touch the clear river water, surrounded by swaying reeds and blooming lotus flowers. If you are lucky, you can also see egrets and other water birds skimming the water. You can taste the special refreshments provided on the boat while listening to the boatman telling the story of the wetland. In the rippling water, you can immerse yourself in the tranquility and poetry of Xixi Wetland, as if time has slowed down, making people forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
